Backups for WordPress.com and self-hosted sites
Backup ↗, used by hundreds of millions of sites on WordPress.com, is also our most sought-after paid product for self-hosted sites within the Jetpack suite. I led the design for multiple features we shipped that year, such as: Credential-less restores, File Browser, Complete backups with warnings, Undo feature, Retention management, and more.

AI-Powered SEO tool within the editor, integrated with Gutenberg blocks. The wizard style flow analyzes the post, guides the user through several steps and offers suggestions to improve the content for better SEO.

The functionality that allowed our users to take action when a backup completed with an error (as opposed to failing), significantly reduced churn for newly acquired customers.
This setting allows our customers to fine-tune the amount of storage they want to purchace once they hit the limit, with the goal of reducing churn for those who don’t want to spend more, while allowing others to spend more if they want to.
Enterprise security tools
WPScan, Akismet ↗, and WPCloud ↗ are WordPress security products that serve both consumers, and B2B customers. I worked closely with our Security Researchers and the Business Development and Partnerships team, to research, prioritize, scope, and design upcoming features. Notable projects were enterprise dashboards and internal vulnerabilities submission platform.
I also helped the BD & Partnerships team restructure the sales decks and visualize future offerings, which played a huge role in the increase in deals made that year.

We’ve improved the vulnerability submission experience on WPScan, which helped automate and improve internal processes, attract and retain more researchers, as well as increase the number of vulnerabilities submitted. The project included taking a manually processed form and transfolrming it into a platform with extended capabilities, so that the team can triage and manage the submissions more efficiently.

Sanja brought tremendous value to the Jetpack BD and Partnerships Team. She gave a masterclass on creating and delivering pitch decks, sharing insights from her extensive experience with startups on fundraising decks—expertise that easily transfers to what we are doing — trying to influence current or prospective partners or clients.
Also, Sanja has a great business mind. In a project we collaborated on, she demonstrated strong business acumen by recommending we prioritize a piece that could generate more leads for our team rather than a longer-term bet.
Beyond her expertise, she’s a pleasure to work with—funny, smart (I’ve learned a lot from her), brings no ego to work, and a true team player.
Mike Bray, Head of Partnerships – WP Cloud and Jetpack

I greatly appreciate how Sanja consistently takes the initiative by scheduling kickoff design sessions with stakeholders where we uncover .
Beyond crafting beautiful interfaces in line with our product standards, Sanja creates thoughtful design specifications and support during development. This makes it so much easier for developers like myself to translate her designs into code.
Her openness to feedback is commendable—she thoughtfully integrates suggestions and iteratively refines her designs.
